I'm Weronika, a veterinarian from Poland working in Sweden. Every day in the clinic, I meet animals, their families and the youngest animal lovers, who watch the work of a doctor with curiosity. Nika's world was born from that childhood curiosity, a love for animals and the need for warm education.

My name is Weronika and I am a veterinarian. I graduated from SGGW in Warsaw, and today I practise in Sweden. Every day in the clinic, I meet not only animals, but also their families and children, who often watch my work with great curiosity. Many times, I have heard children say that one day they would also like to help animals. Those moments have always moved me deeply, because they show how naturally children carry empathy, care and a desire to understand the world of animals.
That is how Nika's world was born, from a love for children, animals and warm education. I wanted to create something more than just a story: books in which animal characters experience emotions children can recognise, while the little reader can feel like part of the adventure.
I hope Nika's books help families spend meaningful time together: reading, coloring, solving activities and talking about emotions. I would love children to discover through these stories that healing and helping can be fun!
Each book was written with real clinical experience and real love for the children I meet in the waiting room. Nothing in Nika's world is invented for the sake of it; every animal, every emotion, every check-up step comes from days spent doing exactly this work.
In the clinic, I often see children watching with curiosity as we help animals. I wanted to bring that same sense of wonder, that excitement about medicine and care, into a story they could take home and make their own.
Nika is a little part of me, and creating her world has become a dream come true, bringing together everything I love: children, animals and stories. Nika's cat ears are a small detail with a personal meaning. Her curiosity, her kind way with animals, her little notebook: these all come from real moments in the clinic.
I wanted children reading these books to feel what I feel every time an animal gets better: that mix of relief, joy and wonder. And I wanted parents to have something to read alongside their child that sparks a real conversation about empathy, courage and care.
